Our crabs are measured "by eye" daily prior to steaming. They are measured on the top outside shell from tip-to-tip.
Are a smaller crab measuring
5"- 5.5" tip-to-tip.
Are a medium to large crab measuring
5.5"- 6" tip-to-tip.
XL crabs are just like there name, they are XL in size measuring 6"- 6.5" tip-to-tip.

6.5+" tip-to-tip.
Our female crabs are sorted and sold in mixed sizing.
Live crabs need to be kept cold. If you are purchasing crabs live from us please keep them cold. As they come from our refrigerator, they should be kept in yours until ready for steaming.
When taking home steamed, hot, ready to eat Blue Crabs - do not place them in a sealed air tight container on transport. Hot crabs will continue to cook if air is not flowing into the box.
